7th Grade

In 1995, I was in 7th Grade. This album was a game-changer. I dug out the CD yesterday, and I was shocked that it still played, after being played to death in my early teens. If you know me, you know that I am very loyal to a CD when I decide that I like it. I will listen to it on repeat for weeks or months, with very little variation. I’ve just always been like that. This one definitely got played A LOT, in my boom box and in my discman. Ha. Can you believe that Tragic Kingdom had seven singles and a two and a half year tour?? I can, I really can.
Seeing No Doubt for the first time 14 years later, as an adult, was an amazing experience. It was everything I hoped it would be. Gwen was incredible again, I saw her perform her solo stuff a few years ago in the same venue. The band sounded awesome, and they have so much energy. They never stopped moving or dancing, and neither did I! The set and imagery they used fit them to a T. I really appreciated how they seemed to such a family, and how it was as if I was watching them perform back in 1995. They were the same, and that was comforting. I think Gwen Stefani might be my hero.
